Daring Greatly is a band that defies easy categorization. Yes, they’re a rock band – but they also have a knack for throwing down some seriously catchy country tunes. Daring Greatly was formed in 2014 in Calgary, Alberta, by brothers Patrick and Liam Croome and drummer Brayden Tario. They relocated to San Diego shortly after establishing themselves and have been writing and recording albums together for over seven years. Despite the move, the band’s Canadian roots continue to influence their music, which blends American rock and country. Since forming in 2014, Daring Greatly has toured extensively throughout the Western United States and Canada, while also releasing multiple albums and singles.
The band has received numerous accolades, including winning San Diego’s 2023 Song of the Year for their track “Never A Goodbye” and being nominated for “Best Rock Artist” and “Best Rock Album – Gird Valley.”
In 2019, the band welcomed electric guitarist David Mills from Lake Elsinore, adding a new dimension to their music with his Southern California edge. In 2021, the band added talented music producer and bassist Matt Spatol from Milwaukee, WI, giving the band a fresh Mid-Western rock influence.
With their dynamic instrumentation and the Croome brothers’ powerhouse vocals, Daring Greatly is a band that’s sure to leave you feeling exhilarated – and maybe even a little bit surprised.
