In partnership with The Vibrant Vine Winery, Kelowna’s new Moonlight Jazz Society presents:
Grammy-award nominated East Coast jazz vocalist Kinga Heming!
Born and raised in Poland before immigrating to Canada in her youth, Heming studied at
Humber College in Toronto and was inspired by singers like Diana Krall, Dianne Reeves, Sarah
Vaughan, Natalie Cole, and Ella Fitzgerald.
Her Grammy nominated release “Forever in my Heart” is a collection of songs that she refers to
as a “book written about her personal life”. She is also featured in the Kelowna-based musical
review entitled Songs of the Southern Belles, and is a cornerstone in the Okanagan jazz scene.
She will be joined onstage at the Vibrant Vine winery’s speakeasy lounge by the Moonlight Jazz
Society’s house band including:
Joe Auty – Trumpet
Craig Thomson – Tenor Saxophone
Stu Goldberg – Piano
Jake McIntyre-Paul – Upright Bass
Neil Gray – Drums
Moonlight Jazz Society (MJS) is a NEW non-profit created by award-winning artists Leila
Neverland and Neil Gray.
MJS intends to support Kelowna’s growth by offering up something unique: a curated live
performance concert series featuring primarily jazz composers in Kelowna’s only piano room,
made possible by the generous donation of a baby grand piano to the Society.
To show YOUR arts’ patronage and to secure your seat for the season, request a membership
