Join us for a night of laughter and entertainment as BC United and Gonzo Okanagan present The Kelowna Comedy Festival featuring Alison Ogilvie, Bonnie Esson, and Alison Lujan! This hilarious event will take place at 6:30 PM on Saturday, August 24th, at Dakoda’s Comedy Lounge.
Meet the Comedians:
Alison Lujan: Alison is a force in the Okanagan comedy scene. Her clever improv and brilliant perspective leaves seasoned pros in awe. Then, if you want to get closer, let her draw on you (she does tattoos).
Alison Ogilvie: Alison Ogilvie is a comedian and storyteller who is proud to hail from bonny Scotland. With a warm Scottish brogue, Ogilvie knows how to leave an audience in stitches with her unique take on family life. In 2016, she made it into the semi-finals of Vancouver’s Yuk Off competition, and then went on to win B.C.’s funniest female in 2017. She has since been transplanted to Kelowna, where she has been winning over crowds with her outrageous wit.
Bonnie Esson: With her quick wit and infectious energy, Bonnie has taken the comedy scene by storm. Her unique set of skills includes writing and telling jokes. Bonnie’s comedic talent knows no bounds. With a knack for turning everyday experiences into hilarious anecdotes, Bonnie’s humor resonates with audiences of all ages who can get into a bar.
Beyond the entertainment, your ticket purchase will directly benefit the Dress for Success Kelowna. Dress for Success Kelowna is an organization dedicated to empowering women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
This event is generously sponsored by BC United, who vow to fix the cost-of-living crisis, healthcare mess, and crime epidemic. Special thanks to Gonzo Okanagan for their support in making this event possible. Don’t miss out on a night filled with laughter and fun!
