Bridges for Women Society welcomes you to join us in celebrating International Women’s Day on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023 at Bear & Joey (1025 Cook St.) from 3pm -5pm.
We're so excited to hold an intimate, in-person gathering for International Women's Day this year! The event will be a reception-style, after-work gathering with canapes and beverages at the beautiful Bear & Joey Cafe, and will be the perfect opportunity to reconnect and network with inspiring women in our community. Our guest speakers include Silvia Mangue Alene, the Co-founder and President of Kulea Culture Society, and President of BC Black History Awareness Society, Rose Henry, educator, community organizer, and member of the Support Network for Indigenous Women and Women of Colour (SNIWWOC) Board of Directors, the Honorable Grace Lore, MLA, and a live performance from award-winning composer and producer, La-Nai Gabriel.
This event takes place on unceded lək̓ʷəŋən territory, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Esquimalt and Songhees peoples.
