Rocky Mountain High – Celebrating the Music of John Denver
Rocky Mountain High returns! Canadian recording artists perform John Denver’s music live in B.C.
It was twenty five years ago John Denver was tragically taken from this world, but his music and legacy live on!
Rocky Mountain High celebrates John’s music as it was first arranged by his longtime friend, conductor and arranger, Lee Holdridge.
Over the past four years, Canadian recording artist Rick Worrall, has worked very closely with Mr. Holdridge to painstakingly rebuild John’s library of songs to allow this material to be performed as it was at the height of his career. Together with his brother Steve who has toured with the likes of Tom Cochrane, Amy Sky, and Kim Stockwood to name a few, they head up an Allstar lineup of some of Canada’s best musicians, who stay true to John’s musicianship and style.

Although classified as a “tribute”, unlike most, no one dresses up like John Denver, instead the focus is entirely on the music and with Mr. Holdridge conducting his original scores, and vocalists staying true to John Denver’s style, the night is magic!
As well as John Denver, Lee Holdridge has penned countless scores for both TV shows and motion pictures, and has either written, arranged, or conducted for numerous other respected pop artists, including Barbra Streisand, Brian May of Queen, Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau, Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Natalie Cole, and opera tenor Placido Domingo. He has won seven Emmy’s and two Grammy’s.
Having Lee Holdridge conduct is more than a special treat, it promises to be a very memorable occasion that will be talked about for years to come.
