Join us in our cozy wine shop for a 2-hour Ukrainian Easter Egg (Pysanky) workshop led by Patty Presunka, a third-generation Ukrainian-Canadian, while enjoying Priest Creek wine! Please arrive between 5:30 – 6:00 pm for a wine tasting and the class will start shortly after.Immerse yourself in the captivating tradition of Ukrainian Pysanky – Easter Eggs in the traditional Ukrainian style. Pysanky are colorful decorated eggs with symbols and colours that carry meaning and good wishes. The tradition started in Ukraine and Pysanky is made with beeswax and dyes in a technique akin to batik. This art of Ukrainian Pysanky has been handed down from generation to generation.
In this workshop, you will create one Ukrainian Easter Egg during the session to bring home with you and learn the techniques and skills to equip you to explore a myriad of designs on your own. This course is for adults, no experience is needed!
