Young Ferris was diagnosed with Mainzer-Saldino Syndrome at 14 months, which means that she was in kidney failure at a young age. The Backmeyer family is a tribe of 5. Ferris has two older loving sisters, her dad is in the nursing program at TRU and her superhero mother is a Respiratory Therapist serving the residents of Kamloops.
The family is resilient, and we at Foxy Box would like to give them a little love bonus!
